Location: UK | I have a surprisingly long TBR this month, which considering my deteriorating sight waiting for a cataract removal, plus preparing for Mr Dusty's children coming from the US and Africa early October and of course tending my poor husband and his cognitive decline actually reading may be rather durtailed.but no trouble,I can always rollthem over to the next month.

Lewis Carroll - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland
Simon R Green - Into the Thinnest of Air
J D Robb - Born in Death
Daniel Galouye - Dark Universe

Location: UK | Well,I had my eye op om 21st Sep,and the haze is finally liffting I am eagerly waiting for my inspection early November and if all is well I will get reading glasses and will once aain be able to read. easily. Cant wait. For now am using computer zooming in to maximum to even see anything. I am typing this by guess and by god, cant actually see the tiny print on here.
Pre op I mostly continued reading through Simon R Green's Ishmael Jones series. Finished the last one on my phone this week, zooming in and using white letters on black to give even la bit vision.Apart from that I read only a E nesbit book and the Lewis Carroll Alice books in the month and a couple of short horror stories.
I was disappointed not to read Daniel Galouye Dark Universe and the Eric Frank Russell Three to Conquer. Will read them in November probably because I have stuff to read for Spooky October.
At least I have finished my Pick & Mix challeng for the year. Hopefully I can get back to reading 80 books instead of 40.Ah the good old days when I read 200 books a year, and made a good attack on the WWEnd glorious lists. :0) |
