Location: This Island Earth | Hopefully someone can help me, as I'm being driven to distraction.
In about 1980/81 I started to read a Sci-Fi book about an immortal man. I think it started as a diary and then went into the third person. Unfortunately I can't remember what the book was called, I had it in my head that it was called The Last Immortal or The Immortal or The First Immortal but I cannot find anything like it in any searches. The book had a yellow cover and was quite thick. Anyone with any ideas I'd be most grateful. |

| Roger Zelazny has a book called This Immortal but it's not that thick. Christopher Pike also has a book called The Immortal but I know nothing else about it. Library Thing has a forum called Name That Book which might be able to help if nobody else here has any ideas. |

Location: This Island Earth | Many thanks - I'll try Library Thing. I know it's not Zelazny's book, but I'll check out Pike. Cheers |

| Try "The Ultimax Man" by Keith Laumer.

It had the split style. The first part of the book was a novella. The second half was added to expand it to a book. One of the covers had a lot of yellow. |
