At first I wasn't sure whether I would want to finish this, because it starts out with a hint of a misogynistic social setup, and two really unlikable main characters. But a little patience is rewarded, the characters come into their own, and it ended up being a solid SF mystery on a space station with great worldbuilding and character development. I really, really enjoyed this book, and I'm hoping that there will be a sequel.
