This is the first story I have read by this author, and if it is representative of his work, I am thankful that I've only invested in 14,000 words.
This is absolute rubbish. The barest of plot, no character development, inane "conversation" by people who have no intelligence or personality.
At $11 for the Kindle version of this novelette, the reader is paying approximately 1¢ for every 10 words -- and that is far, far, too much to pay for this tripe, and any time spent reading it is wasted.
