I enjoy this author's various Alternate History novellas, but this series, featuring demons and angels and schemes within plots within plans involving a Supreme Being, is my least favorite. There's quite a bit of intellectual rationalizing on the nature of good vs. evil, and destiny vs. free will, and what philosophical shape a Supreme Being might take. It's not my thing, but it may be yours.
