This story is one of those 'historically important' works, in that it is the origin story of Buck Rogers. For that, it has some small interest for the SF devotee or dedicated Buck Rogers fan.
For anyone else, it is a waste of time. it comprises a 50-50 combination of poorly explained phenomena, devices and events with a tedious and time-wasting collection of detailed explanations that add nothing to the story but pointless self-referential maunderings.
If not for its importance to the Buck Rogers catalog, it would have disappeared from sight long ago.
