This started out very strong and very weird. From the first chapter I could tell that this was going to be something very unique and fresh. The worldbuilding was fascinating, but this book really shone in Arika's character development. This is not a book I will forget about soon. The only reason it isn't five stars is because I thought the love triangle and romance were unnecessary and there was too much time spent on weapons training.
