A Little Hatred

While I enjoyed this book, it didn't reel me in like the First Law series did. I thought the characters in the First series were more interesting and better fleshed out. It was good to have some of them revisited in this series.

To me, there seemed quite a bit more political intrigue thrown in amongst the war and violence. There is quite a bit of plotting and timeline manipulation so it is easy to get a little lost here at times but it does come together. It is obviously the beginning of a series. While it is a good read, it doesn't have that stand alone feel. Be prepared to read more of the series.
