Savage Pellucidar

I have no idea how this story was nominated for a Hugo. Must have been sentiment as it was published posthumously well after Burroughs had died. It's a middling adventure tale that has zero character growth or development, ludicrous decisions by all of the characters, even more ludicrous coincidences that reunite all of the main protagonists and less than exciting action. The only part I liked was the dog.
