This is what I wanted "Finders Keepers" to be. I think Finders Keepers was a good book, but after reading Mr. Mercedes, you just want more Brady; he's the best villain I've read in a while. King is at his best when it comes to science fiction characters that develop special abilities. Add that expertise onto an already stellar villain, and you have yourself a fantastic read. Theme-wise, I was able to get into this again too; suicide is a pretty dark topic, but I think King approaches it well and definitely has some insightful things to say about it. There's something incredibly disturbing about the way that it spreads, and the invention of the internet was the worst possible thing when it comes to preventing the spread of suicide. Holly also remains a fantastic character, and her relationship with Hodges is just so heartwarming. The trio with Gerome is just so very quirky; it feels so unique and personal because of that, and makes you root for them all the harder. This was a fantastic trilogy, and I can't wait to read the three books centered around Holly.
Read Primarily Because: Part of series.
