Primary Inversion

I enjoyed this book. It is the first book published in a long series, but appears later in the chronology. Some readers might like to read the series in chronological order. In general, this books reminds me of Bujold without the humor. It is hard sci-fi with the author going out of her way to explain the tech and psychic abilities of the universe. It was fairly heavy on the romantic component, but no more so than a Vorkosigan novel. I looked the world building, and will probably continue reading a few more in the series as they are available as digital audio books through my library. I would suggest this book to those who like military sf.
