Forty years ago I was a great Asimov Fan. I read everything of his I could get my hands on. I even had a pet grouper named Isaac. I can't remember most of the Asimov books I read way back then so I though Id re-read some of them. Foundation is the third this year. Back in the 70's I realized that Asimov was a great writer of short stories and his novels were really just novel-length short stories, especially in terms of character development. Re-reading foundation confirmed this initial assessment. It's an easy read and enjoyable, but I do prefer Asimov's short stories.
