A classic
Positives: Extremely well written, flows from the start with witticisms worthy of quotation. The characters are lively and real, the story good enough to the the basis for a movie (which it is) set in a different time and situation, but with the kind of interactions and characters.
Negatives: as with all Heinlien it can get a little preachy about the shortcomings of humanity, and somewhat over the top kind politics. But it is a yarn with insight nonetheless.
Summary: It is a classic and worthy of the award.
