Inkheart

An overly long book! I think I skipped about a third of it. Having said that, it has a very interesting concept - the ability to make reality purely from reading from a book. I can see that it would be good for youngsters to read as it's got some suspense in it, but it's not frightening and you want to find out what happens. It's easy to relate to Meggie, the main character and if it wasn't for the length it would have at least 4 stars.
