The Demon Breed

Great classic science fiction. Published in 1968 it does not feel in the least bit dated. Excellent writing style that is terse and to the point. No effusively florid prose. No extraneous verbiage. This is classic "show - don't tell" writing. There are many layers to this tale. Each is peeled back at just the right moment giving the story arc a cinematic feel. All managed in a mere 153 pages of paperback text. An incredible feat.
