Swamplandia!

A family story with many twists: alligators, an intimate knowledge of Florida swamp, weird and wonderful kids and death and the dead following everyone around. The Bigtree family (parents, son Kiwi and daughters Ava and Osceola) run an alligator theme park where alligator wrestling show is the main attraction.

I loved Ava and Kiwi, the main characters. They're odd but very strong kids, with big dreams and inability to see how weird a world they live in. When Osceola starts dating a ghost, they both just leave her be - they seem to think that maybe she'll turn ok if they don't bother her.

This is an intense story and contains some disturbing scenes.
