Not quite what I imagined it would be. (If you saw the buzz around one of the illustrations, this is not the lesbian retelling of Sleeping Beauty you're looking for.) It is lovely, though, with more depth and less high-falutin' language than I've come to expect from short fairytale retellings. I love the little details, like the dwarves' belief that the value of a gift depends in large part on how far it's traveled.
