Farmer in the Sky

This book has an adventurous, buoyant quality (in spite of some tragic events, including the death of one of the main characters) which seems typical of Heinlein's "juveniles," at least those I've read. His "juveniles" may well be among his best books. The portrayals of the protagonists (a family pioneering Ganymede) are deeply felt.
