I have said that I only care about spending time with Blue, the Raven Boys and her aunts, and don't care if Gansey ever finds his king. Well, as the title suggests, he does find it, and there were some beautiful moments in so doing, but there was also disappointment. For one thing, not enough of the supporting characters--worse, the supporting characters who had, up until now, carved out their importance to the story, are usurped by Henry, a character who has been present, but has not been significant until this book, where he then becomes a very convenient device to help wrap the story up in a carefully bow.

I am disappointed, but I am still going to give this book four stars because Stiefvater's writing remains a thing of incredibly evocative beauty, and the time she did give me with the main characters was powerful and satisfying.
