Quick fun read. Not as good as I remembered.
As with several of these old books I found the stereotypes annoying. Donal Graeme is a perfect man, perfect soldier, never wrong, achieves all his goals, thwarts all his opponent's plans and - of course - gets the beautiful perfect girl who can't help but love him.
If you can overlook these flaws it is an excellent book. I couldn't this time and will probably skip the rest of the series.
Recommended with a lot of caveats.
