Have wanted to read Gaiman for ages. Didn't know where to start. Looked at blurbs of quite a few, and was gunna go with American Gods. Sounded like my type of thing.
A colleague of mine is a rabid Gaiman fan, and said; "No, no - go with the Graveyard Book". Not wanting to annoy said fan, I switched. Easy to do, as my public library had it as an eBook. Nice one.
I freakin' loved it. The first book in ages that made me wish I was twelve again. I really got lost in it. Just the vividness of it, the awesomeness of the setting, and especially the non-cop-out ending.
Only question remaining; which will be my second Gaiman?
