I was wondering if anyone has undertaken the challenge of ascertaining and the reading all the entries that have either been nominated or listed in the total WWE catalog. Any idea how many entries that comprises and the percentage of the total? Also broken down by sci-fi/fantasy/horror?

Obviously it will change from year to year.

37458 is, I think, the current total of books in the DB.

Of 28 awards listed, that's

5059 books, nominated.
(Minus books that have multiple nominations.)

That's a mere 937 winners. (Minus multiple award winners.)
That number sounds almost doable.

(But then, I've personally only got the winners of three awards completely read, but it's taken a little less than 30 years to do it.)

Thanks for the follow-up and it certainly frames the challenge. I've always viewed this as the ultimate challenge.

I've been using the awards and lists as my source for target reading. Initially I'm focused on Hugos both winners and nominees with a secondary sort on books with multiple awards and list entries. My tertiary sort is Amazon Kindle sales and now the Audible Plus catalog. It has been a challenge to find certain older books that are not available in either audio or digital format. In that case, I search on online and use calibre to convert. But if available digitally for sale, I'll purchase; it's been interesting to follow the slow, but steady accumulation of older material.
