Random quote: "The way I see it, being dead is not terribly far off from being on a cruise ship. Most of your time is spent lying on your back. The brain has shut down. The flesh begins to soften. Nothing much new happens, and nothing is expected of you." ― Mary Roach, Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers

Was anyone else disappointed? I thought it felt like a very watered down Jordan Peele Film where he skirted around the usual race conversations and didn't have the entertainment value to lean on and make up for it. There was nothing creepy, and aside from the few times the main character dropped the movie title no one laughed. Everyone left the theatre muttering their confusions.

It was used the alien as a spectacle but didn't really do anything with it. Maybe my theatre experience is changing how i viewed the movie. I saw Get Out and Us at home on my comfy couch but i'm of the opinion that those were both vastly better stories.

tldr: I went in expecting horror and didn't really get it.

I actually really liked it, though I had to sit on it for a couple of days.
