I'm not sure why I waited so long to read this classic of the Sci-Fi genre. When you think about it, this novel really was before it's time. Yes, now we know every aspect of the planet Mars in this story is completely wrong, but the idea that the aliens were defeated by biology really was an advanced and shattering concept in literature.
