I want to really like this book. I want to. It has some really interesting ideas for a post apocalyptic world. The problem is there is a religious cameo throughout the book that I just don't know how to address. I'd like to think that there is just 'always that crazy guy' out there, but I feel more like the character in question is supposed to be literal.
Anyways, overall I felt the first half of the book was excellent. The second half when the timeline started skipping around was a little harder to keep interested, but I still for the most part enjoyed it. The religion was heavy (obviously), but it tended to interfere only a few times.
