This time it was desirable that the narrative only be from two points of view. This narrowed the focus and made it the most propulsive experience sine the first book. The plans and setbacks all felt well tessellated and the resolution earned. And the final battle between the Garde and Setrakus was brutal. The epilogue showed a genuine change in those involved, no reversion to earlier iterations of their characters to make it easier on the readers. I've enjoyed this series immensely, the epitome of an easy read but that is sometimes just what you need. Now to read a book on philosophy.
