I liked the premise of the book, with a veteran of WWI and a clairvoyant woman sharing dreams of fire and seeking answers. The setting in 1920 Cassadaga, Florida, a real spiritualist community, was intriguing. I also like the switching back and forth between the perspective of the two main characters, this was done very well. I thought the pacing was a bit languid and didn't convey the urgency that might have been intended, though things definitely picked up when the two MCs met up and the ending really pulled all the threads together and I found it a bit emotional even.
