I had no idea what to expect from this story. I found it interesting and absorbing, touching on themes of how we lessen and damage ourselves when we dehumanize and oppress others - and how resistance to change, and willfully blinding ourselves to an unpleasant reality we don't want to face, can doom us to an even worse fate.
