Scribe

An odd, and oddly compelling, novella. The setting and characterization is minimal (though it was interesting that the distopic setting was quite rural, rather than urban.) The plotting was diffuse and hard to follow. The language, however, was gorgeous, from the very first page. I wish I could have liked this more than I did.
