This collection will appeal to those who enjoy fantastical stories involving ghosts, spirits, and fantasy creatures, touching on themes which include regret, personal agency for women (or lack thereof), domestic abuse, and redemption.
My particular favorites are the novelette "Painted Birds and Shivered Bones" about a woman who releases a man from a centuries-old curse, and "Once, Future", a novella in which university students investigate whether the Arthurian myth is a story which makes itself be played out among humans again and again throughout time.
