A Closed and Common Orbit

I really enjoyed Becky Chamber's first novel. I was therefore quite excited to see this next one, as I wanted the characters I'd met to carry on, develop further, do audacious things....

Not so much, sadly. Oh, it's good; it's pretty well written and the plot carries one along, but - it's a placeholder for me. Like Cibola Burn in The Expanse series, it's something to read while you wait for the NEXT one.
