Hexarchate Stories

The stories in this collection range from flash fiction of just a few words to a novella, Glass Cannon -- a "here's what happened after" sequel to the trilogy, which will please fans of the Machineries of Empire series.

Many of the short bits include interesting details of worldbuilding which flesh out the background of the Hexarchate. The novelettes "The Battle of Candle Arc" and "Extracurricular Activities" are well worth the read.

There is explicit sex in a couple of the stories, which can be skipped past for those who prefer not to read it.

Altogether, this is an excellent collection for series fans, but the stories will likely leave a first-time Hexarchate reader adrift -- in which case, they should go read the trilogy, bearing in mind that the best way to enjoy it is not to expect the calendrical "science" to make sense, just roll with it.
