Riot Baby

Fantastic book. The structure took a little getting used to - I'm slow to embrace the contemporary style of shfits between first- and third-person. But if you don't have this bias, or can look past it, you end up with a beautifully-written, utterly engaging novella that somehow manages to fit in and blend decades of complicated American history, supernatural abilities, near-future sciencie fiction elements, and dynamic character relationships. I don't often wish stories were longer, but would have happily read an expanded novel-length version.
