The Terminal Beach

I haven't read too much of Ballard's work, and kinda had him pegged as a good, albeit a bit prosaic writer. Run of the mill.

Well, I have to eat those words. While some of the stories are, well, prosaic, the rest are just jaw-dropingly good. Great characterizations in just a few pages, stories filled with a unique atmosphere and rife with emotion.

I just know that stories like The Terminal Beach, The Drowned Giant, Deep End will stay with me for a long time
