Gallowglass

This is an enjoyable deep-space adventure. As with the other books I have read by this author, the technical details are excellent, the plot not as strong, and the characterization is minimal.

If you're a fan of hard SF, this novel may be your thing - but it ends on a blatant cliffhanger, so you may want to wait until the release of the sequel.
