Starts off reasonably well, but plummets disastrously before the midpoint. Unless you enjoy novels where everybody has sex with everyody (including endless pointless incest of all descriptions) - Avert Avert Avert! I would hate to think that some poor reader has been to told that RAH is great, just read anything of his - and they stumble into this drivel - rather than finding one of his interesting novels or shorter fictions.

As with rather a few of our science fiction greats, the great and near-great stuff is much more likely earlier in their careers, and the later works are a bit of a wasteland. Of the later novels, stick to "Friday", "Glory Road", and "Job - a Comedy of Justice". Not that these are all perfect, but there are plenty of interesting characters, interesting ideas, and actual plots that move from A to B. These avoid excessive reliance on sex (especially endless incest), endless right-wing/libertarian harranging by characters that remind me of (Shudder!) Jubal Harshaw of "Stranger in a Strange Land" and don't have extensive tracks where nothing whatsoever happens.
