Fairly well written though a bit on the long side and slow moving at times. The theme is time travel. The society a century and a half in the future, seems a little too different from ours today, but then, it's an arbitrary fictional time difference. I really didn't identify with the main character, or any of the characters for that matter. It eases into a twist climax at the very end. I kinda saw it coming. Could this perhaps be classified as a psychological novel as apposed to science fiction?
The book's blurb begins "Hailed as a classic of speculative fiction, Marge Piercy's landmark novel..." hmm. I never had heard of this one before.
