This story explores the idea that the dead live on in the place in which they died. It is a story of unfinished business and frustrated hopes, dreams, desires and goals, but set in a shopping mall.
It is among the more conventional stories in the collection 'Falling in Love with Hominids'. Still, her evocative prose and attention to the details of feeling and desire make it well worth reading.
