Fire with Fire

Start with Miles Vorkosigan, subtract a little humor, add in some James Bond in a broad space opera setting, and you have Caine Riordan. I decided to finally sample this series and was thoroughly entertained. I was hesitant at first as I thought might be a little Die Hard-like, but no, not at all; the hero was multi-faceted and the story was deep and clever. Worth the time, I'll take up the 2nd book soon.
