Skyward Inn

This author writes mostly Horror, especially Body Horror, and that influence is shown here, in an interesting but weird SF story of humans intermingling with an alien race after a peace agreement ends the war between them. There's some interesting worldbuilding here, which is muddled a bit by a non-chronological narrative structure, but ultimately the story delivers an ending -- a rather unexpected, yet hopeful, one. Recommended for those who like strange and unusual speculative fiction.
