Twist on Frankenstein

The story of Frankenstein was conceived over the summer of 1816 during a competion between the poets Lord Byron and Percy Shelley and Shelley's lover (and later wife) and Mary. This twist on the tale supposes that Byron, Percy and their campatriots actually created the monster that fateful summer and then Mary, no longer able to sanction their unearthly experiments, takes him on the run. They are befriended by a young banker in Geneva who goes to great lengths to help them escape the deadly clutches of Byron and his henchmen. Largley taking the form of a letter from the young banker to his friend recounting the events, this novella should appeal to fans of Shelley's source novel.
