A secret society, an evil scientific genius, a man with a hole in his memory, and a disease they all want to conquer. A nicely paced 'amesiac' story about a man who may be the livinig solution to a creeping plague which could exterminate all human life.
The protagonist must learn for himself if this is true or not, and along the way learn who and what is maneuvering to control the secret. His own exisitence is both necessary and dangerous, but both sides of the struggle work to see what they can learn from the protagonist first.
A better than average story.
