I enjoyed this quite a bit, though it did hit one of my pet peeves, though: when the situation is absolutely dire, death a moment away, the main characters have to STOP FOR KISSING. Aaargh! This shows up in YA quite a bit, and was surprised to find it here. But otherwise, the book was just excellent, especially if you are a fan of GIANT ZOMBIE SEA SERPENTS. ON LAND.
