This Norton story is full of rich detail about the two alien races, their relations with the Terran scouting team, and the world that all three wish to control. It veers into fantasy a bit more than usual for Norton, with aliens who have mind control powers and the ability to change reality or mold nature into a weapon.
If you're on the fence on this one, and don't really like supernatural or paranormal elements making a large portion of the story and driving the plot, you may want to pass on this one. Otherwise, it's another well written and quickly paced story of Terrans versus aliens, with wolverines added for variety.
