This is a collection of Greg Egan's stories from 1989 through 1992. Most story collections end up being pretty middle of the road for me - a few good, a few bad. This grouping has to rate much higher - some good stories and really great ideas here. 4½ stars out of 5.
The blurb on the cover "One of the genre's great ideas men" is absolutely correct. I packed this on a trip to Hawaii and read on the beach, at the pool, and in any spare moment - hard to put it down, even in those conditions.
I think my favorite stories were "Post office box" and "Learning to be me". *When* I reread this, I might list here a story that I didn't particularly like.
