The Watch is definitely my favourite sub-series within Discworld, and while this hasn't overtaken Men at Arms in my standing, it's another marvellous book. More so than ever this really feels like a philosophical book, and the fact that it manages to be thought-provoking and funny (as well as having a really good head-scratching mystery plot) is a real testament to Pratchett's skill.
