As with all anthologies, some stories are stronger than others. By far the best is Zelazny's The Doors of His Face, the Lamps of His Mouth. But Steel by Matheson, The Last Super Bowl Game by George RR Martin and Effinger's Naked to the Invisible Eye are all excellent. Even the weakest story was enjoyable.
Some of the stories suffered from dating issues. Spinrad's The National Pastime could not be published today as is. Several slurs including the "N" word would invite mass cancellation. The essays on each sport were the weakest part of the collection and I would suggest the reader skip them. The stories, though, I would recommend.
