Starter Villain

First off, I'm generally a Scalzi fan, but sometimes he loses me when he goes overboard with the snarkiness. That was my issue with the Collapsing Empire series; the snarky dialog, meant to be funny, was at odds with a serious space opera. Not so here. This is meant as a humorous novel from the start, no question. And it's successful. The dialog fits the story, carries it along & gave me more than a few chuckles. It's a lot of fun, an easy read, enjoyable throughout.
