This is a really good book - it's tense, dark, and realistic-feeling. It somewhat suffers from that age-old issue of books with multiple storylines where one is so much more interesting than the others, although by the end they actually became roughly equally interesting in my eyes. Unfortunately, the end is... weird. The last part is an incredibly dark and very well-executed conclusion, until it takes a hard right turn into one of the goofiest pages I've ever read and then it ends. Combine that with all the questions it leaves unanswered, and it really sours the rest of the really good book to me, which is a great shame.
