The Raft

At first, the story is a disjointed colleection of images, memories, tales and impreessions that serve more to confuse than excite. As the story progresses, the writer makes more and more connections between the different threads, leading to a final, more or less complete tying up of the different meemories.

It will seem pointlessly confusing at first, but it is well worth continuing to follow the threads where they lead. Be prepared to doubt the author's intent, and even the author's conclusion, but also be prepared to examine the nature of your own memory, identity and capacity to know.
